Does this route count under the 1900 hour rule considering you have to change trains at Salzburg?

Hi.
You do not have to change the train in Salzburg, it is only mentioned as information.
This is mentioned above under the timetable.
So you can use this train with the 1900h-rule-for-night-trains.
Have a sunny trip, Peter :)

Hi,
I have what is probably a stupid question but where/how do we pay?
Can I do it on the train at the time, go to the station before, online...? We have a Interrail pass so we just wanna pay the reservation fee.
Thanks!

Hi.
You will have to pay the supplement for this train at a station. This can be one in Austria or also before during your trip for example in Germany.
For details please read this topic:

Hi.
The link doesn't work as the sessions time out. You have to copy the schedule information here to the forum .
But EN 237 is definitely a direct night train without any change.
Maybe you are looking at this connection?
Wien Westbahnhof Dep: 2225 | EN 466 (it is the one Budapest-Zürich)
Salzburg Hbf Arr: 0126
Salzburg Hbf Dep: 0134 | EN 237 (this is the one Wien Westbahnhof Dep: 2040 to Venezia)
Venezia Santa Lucia Arr: 0834
But this is not the DIRECT connection mentioned at the first post - with this connection you have to change and it is definitely stupid as you have to pay fro TWO night trains. Okay, you save 2 hours in Vienna, but you have to change your bed in the middle of the night - not really relaxing!
Peter :)

The Wien - Venezia night train runs via Salzburg - not via the Semmering...only the Wien - Roma night train does. ;)

Is this the same train I want to use if I want to go from INNSBRUCK TO VENICE? I found one train (CityNightLine 363) with couchettes but again I can not buy it from any website: from OBB I get an error no online tickets can be issued for this route . Trenitalia has all the ticket delivery options disabled so the operation can not be completed and SBB only offers the regular seat, no couchette.
Does anyone know how to buy this ticket online?

Hi.
The night train Innsbruck to Venice starts in Munich (therefore it is named CNL).
Details here: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/munich-venice-cnl-40463/37
You can book it online here in the railcc shop (at the same time supporting the railcc project): https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route
Or at the website of Deutsch Bahn (not supporting the railcc project): https://rail.shop/bahn

Hi there,
I am trying to reserve 3 places in a 6-bed couchette for the 13th of June (20:56 night train) from Vienna-Venice on Trenitalia's website but it says that it is only possible for me to pick up these tickets in Italy, which won't work. Can I book the reservations for this on railcc and get the tickets online/sent to me?

Hi,
yes you can get the reservations on [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux] however please note that it will be a bit more expensive due to handling fees (we do not get anything from selling these reservations, it is just an extra service we are able to offer through our partner ACP). Reservations would be sent by post so order in time - or wait until you are in mainland Europe and make the reservations at a station.
To support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Interrail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)
