Hi,

Sorry for asking a question about residency again but I could not see the answer.

I am a UK passport holder but have not been resident in the UK or Europe for over 4 years. However, I am currently travelling having left my previous residence and have no actual residence anywhere.

Is my UK passport enough for me to get a UK Interrail pass?

Also, does it matter that at no time on my trip will I enter the UK? (planning on flying into Zurich and out of Frankfurt via Switzerland, Austria, Czech Rep, Germany and Denmark)

And perhaps a little more complicated - my wife is a US passport holder with a similar tale of residency status. Can she qualify for the UK one as my spouse or do I need to buy hers separately?

Thanks for your help
Pete

hi Pete ...
as you do not have any residency while traveling the last months, you can buy with your UK passport an UK InterRail Pass - so the UK is your country of residence.
the delivery can be everywhere in the world (secure+express mail!).
and it is no problem that you won't entering the UK during your rail tour of Europe.

for your wife: she needs an Eurail ticket - as she is considered as US citizen. so here country of residence is the US.

you: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
your wife: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]

to mention: it is no problem to use InterRail and Eurail together as you can sit in the same trains, use the same cabins in night trains and so on ... :)

have fun and more sunny travel days, Peter :)

Thank you so much for your response. Seem to be having trouble with the Eurail site right now as I'm in Japan and it gives me a choice of Japanese or Japanese :)
