hello
My friend and I, We go to Romania on thursday. We are living here in Spain, but my friend is Romanian.
How can he show that is living here? because here in spain, the residence card does not exist any more for the european residence. The police give only a residence certificate, and they gave us today this document, but with the day of today. No with the day of his arrival in spain (18 months ago).
I saw in internet that the residence can be shown with the day of the bank account or phone avoid... is it true? do you think that the employed of romanian trains company will accept this kind of document to demostrate his residence?
I hope you will be able to answer me as soon as possible because we would go to romanian tomorrow at 10pm

Thank you very much for your help

hi Periscope ...
this is in deed not easy to handle. officially you need official documents to proof the residency - such as a visa or something from the local government.
and then in Romania - I am sure you will have discussions in trains.
for your friend think about buying a Romanian InterRail ticket with the Romanian passport - so he/she can travel for free in Spain and pay then cheap train tickets in Romania.
As the rule of the country of residence.
I send you as well a PM.
all the best, Peter :)
