Train from Villach to Ljubljana

hi,
I hope someone can help me. On sep. 19th I'm arriving at villach station (from vienna) at 19:10 and the train that goes to Ljubljana leaves at 19:27 (train D315). i don't think I have enough time to buy the ticket for Ljubljana, is it possible to board the train and buy the ticket on board?
