Hi Peter,

Both Serbian and Montenegrin railways say different:
6-bed couchette 6EUR
4-bed couchette 9EUR
3-bed sleeper 15EUR
2-bed sleeper 20EUR
1-bed sleeper 45EUR (first class only)

it's price for all Serbia to Montenegro night trains: from Beograd, Novi Sad, Subotica and Niš to Podgorica, Sutomore and Bar, and backwards.
Seat reservation is 3EUR (not obligatory, but recommended), and in summer months you should reserve few days in advance, even seat!!!

These trains are always to late.
The train conductor told me 2 hours mimimum.
Our train (on 24.08) was 4 hours to late.

Just notice this if you are planning your route.

Hi!

You will have to buy it locally at a train station.
When and where do you want to travel.

You can buy them at the stations - if you are travelling on a busy day (eg in the summer) you can use Mr. Popovic to do the booking: wasteels _at_ eunet.rs

I used his service for the line this summer, and it worked perfect

Has anyone have information about the night train from Beograd to Bar? I saw on their website that it has begun, but when checking the timetable I can find it only until 14th July. I\'m planning my interrail and I wanted to do this trip on the 24th...

If available on that date, is there any way I can book couchettes now or just in Beograd Station?

Thank you!

Hi,

at the moment there are the following trains between Belgrade and Bar:

Belgrade 0910 - 2110 Bar; replacment bus service between Belgrade and Lajkovac
Belgrade 2017 - 1137 Bar; diverted between Belgrade and Pozega via Lapovo and Kraljevo

Regular traffic with the two direct trains between Belgrade and Bar as well as an additional summer season night train is said to start mid July, probably July 15.

Reservations are not available online, but you can try to contact Mr Popovic in Belgrade: wasteels _at_ eunet.rs or buy it locally at Belgrade. It could be also possible to contact Serbian Railways (Srbjia Voz) directly via mail to make the reservation (collection and payment at Belgrade station), but I dont know if that works (it works when travelling in the other direction, reserving via mail from Montenegrin Railways).

Thank you for your answer.

I sent an e-mail to Serbian Railways (Srbjia Voz) a week ago but haven\'t heard back yet.

I\'ll try to write to Mr Popovic then.

Once again, thank you for the information.
