You can get it at a railway station. As much as I know you can't make it online.

Yes you can.
But you can buy the reservation already before Munich at an other railway station... depends on your route. For example in Austria, somewhere else in Germany, Switzerland ...

maybe-but unlikely. Often reservations close the morning or evening before-they need to print those little tickets and put them on the right place. Sleepers-untill exhausted-they will simply tell you: go to wagon and ask conductor.
again; ANY (well 99% of them) reservation-for seat or sleep or couchette etc. can be done at ANY European station where they handle INTERnational bookings. That is why they are there for. But often in some countries there are also servcie fees on top of the normal prices.
