Hi everybody
We come from Switzerland. We want to interail in two weeks for 22 Days. Its our first interrail. We starting on the 17th of august. is this route possible or do you have any better citys etc. perhaps you have any insider-information ;)
we travel with a tent, and sometimes we stand in a hostel.

what do you think about the time, where we stand in one city. We want to see a lot, thats the cause for traveling after two or three days to the next city.

On your last journey Paris to Switzerland you can only use the pass upto 23:59 on the date of pass expiry but only to the swiss border then you once again like the start of your journey have to pay from the border to your home. The pass is not valid in your home country.......
The rest of the trip sounds doable it's abit larger than my trip starting next week but depending on what trains you use, accomadtion etc it's easily done...

hej ...
maybe skip Warszaw and visit instead KRAKOW (Poland) or BUDAPEST ... except you have some special connections to Warszaw ... :)
and on your way to Hamburg, have a stop in Berlin - definitely a lot to see and to do and good to meet other railers in the hostels.

Hi Ian and Peter
Thank you for your answer.
the last journey Paris - Switzerland I will check with the railcenter here in Switzerland. So I can see which is the best and cheapest way...

About Warszaw I was not shure. So thank you for this imput. We will visit an other city like Krakow or Budapest.
I was in Berlin last summer for two weeks, and many other holidays before. Its a nice city, but there are a lot of other citys I have never been to. But you have right, there you can see a lot, and the nightlife is super!

What do you think about the hostels or camping. Do you need any reservation? I think at this time there are not too many travelers.

I wish you a nice weekend :)

that's right ... if you already stayed more than once in Berlin, better to see some more new cities! :)
about hostels: book them one or two days in advance - should be no problem in September.
and it is always the best to book them online before you arrive in the city - you know where to go, you save a lot of time searching a hostel ... much more comfortable. use [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]

Hy Patrik,

I would stick to hostels, if I were you. Much easier, no need to take a bus or train to the camping side outside the city and it saves you 3-5 kilo's. If you book in advance and go for the dorms, it shouldn't be more expensive.
Also there is no need to take the Thalys from Amsterdam to Brüssel. It's only a few minutes faster than the regular intercity service, which doesn't require a reservation (saves money). There are no high-speed tracks between the two cities yet.

I hope you enjoy your trip.

Hey

You have right. A hostel is more comfortable than camping. I will check how much money we can save going camping. So we see....

I was now looking for the connections by train. Amsterdam- Brüssel is really easy to take an other train. Thanks :)

In one week we are traveling... there is a lot to do until then.

have an nice evening

regards
Patrik
