Hej,
I'm planning a interrail tour in Sweden. Next week I want to start... but I have still problems. I want to buy the interrail ticket one country for Sweden. But I really don't understand which trains i can take and for which I have to pay more money although I have the interrail ticket. I checked the trains on sj.se and e.g. if i want to travel from Vimmerby to Göteborg I have to pay more, haven't I? Would it be cheaper just to pay the normal prices for each train i want to take (6 days travelling by train through Sweden) than to buy the interrail ticket...maybe i just don't understand the system ;)
and does anyone know if i can take the bus, too, if i have the ticket?

i hope someone can help , :D

hej hej ... :)

have a look on this link to find out train schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
and then compare it to this site, where all supplements are listed. if trains are not listed here, you can use them for free: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/sweden/se

especially in Sweden, you won't have to pay a lot of supplements - it is one of the InterRail friendly countries. :)
just avoid the X2000 (easy to do by regional and IC trains) and then you only have the IC Oslo-Stockholm and return for which you have to pay EUR 3 extra (which you also have to pay without the InterRail ticket).

for night trains you have to pay an extremely cheap supplement - cheaper than to sleep in a hostel: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train

about single train tickets in Sweden compared the the InterRail ONE COUNTRY Pass SWEDEN:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-pass-sweden

if you travel long distances and want to be flexible, InterRail is definitely the cheaper choice.
if you travel on fixed dates and you can find the special-super-discounted-limited-extra-tickets, you will travel cheaper by these ones. but you have to book them early as well. :)

and buses are not included in InterRAIL as it is a RAIL ticket ... except the one linking to Finland in Northern Sweden.

all the best and have fun, Peter :)
