I am using a 5 day in 10 ticket to go and see my friend in Zurich.

I will be getting the train from Amsterdam to Zurich and I want to know which DB trains require reservations and supplements. I have checked here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/germany/de but it seems a bit different to what the route planner here says:
https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

If I get an ICE from say Amsterdam to Frankfurt then Zurich do I have to pay? How about IC trains?

I need to get to leave Amsterdam and get to Zurich all on the 13th August so I think there is not enough time to get regional trains.

Any help appreciated. :)

Hi.
Like Julie said: you can travel for free on this route Amsterdam - Frankfurt - Zürich by ICE ... :)

Thanks for all the info. :)
as far as i know ice & ic trains are free, except you plan taking the ice-sprinter which is kind of a business train going e.g. from Frankfurt to Berlin without any stops. all other trains except thalys and tgv and some special ones should be free!
for the ice amsterdam-germany you don't need a reservation!
So I don't need to reserve a seat from Amsterdam-Frankfurt. How about Frankfurt-Zurich?

Thanks. It makes it so much easier not having to book things in advance.

I had an IR holiday about 5 years ago so I've forgotten all these things! :P
