I am looking to book a night train from Venice to Paris via the TrenItalia website, and when you select Global Pass,it then asks for your card number. Now I guess this means the number of my interrail ticket, but where do I find this? Is it the orange highlighted number on the bottom of the ticket?

or does it mean my passport/ID card number that is printed on my interrail ticket to prove it is mine?

You can't book reservations online at the moment you can only do it from mainland Europe at a major station.
We've all got the same problem unfortunately :(

Yes i know the link you mean however there is problems with all internet booking forms on all the train companies sites.....
The card number it asks for on the trenitalia site nobody seems to be able to get an answer for, so we are all stuck

Ok, thanks very much Ian :)
I will just try and do it from the first station I can, and hope I can do it there :)
