Hi!
It's going to be my first time travelling in night trains, so my question is: is there any lockers to store my backpack? If not, what can I do to protect it while sleeping? (If I ever manage to sleep, but that's another story...)
I've already booked a journey in night train, and I got a bed above. I've planned to take another night train during my trip, and I'm wondering if sleeping in a bed below is not more convient... Does it make any difference (also from a a safety point of view)?
Well I'm a girl, travelling on my own, first time with Interrail, very excited and looking forward to this trip, but also a bit worried, so answers and advices are really welcomed!
thanks!

The doors on the compartments can be locked from the inside, and cannot be unlocked from the outside. Sleep with youre valuables (phone, passport, IR ticket) under your pillow, and get to know your fellow travellers.
That way you have a few people looking out for you, everything expensive close to you and nothing of any value to lose in the unlikely case someone tries to steal your bag

Another tip is to use a padlock (or a couple of tie wraps...) to tie up your backpack to the luggage rack. This won't stop a determined bandid, but it might prevent people sneaking in and taking your stuff while you're, say, chatting in the corridor. But the best precaution is to never lose sight of your valuable belongings. Always have them with you, even when you go to the bathroom.

Often I just put my bag pack under my seat and fix it with a bicycle locker... :)
