I am travelling round Europe for 1 month and it is the first time i have ever done anything like this before and am on a fairly small.

Would you recommend travelling by train throughout the day and miss the sunshine etc or would you travel by night on one of the sleeper trains and risk paying extra supplemental charges.

Cheers

Well if you travel on a sleeper you dont have to pay for a hostel, so it actually works out pretty economical...

Have a look at each country section on here where you will be travelling it has a selection of example times and most of the prices are listed with IR and without IR you want the with IR generally in western Europe a night train will be EUR 20 for a six berth compartment, which is roughly the same as what you'd pay for a hostel and you save on travelling time and general viewing time during the day as you sleep at night and then are refreshed the next morning ready to start your day.....
