Hey Guys.

So in a few weeks I will start my first InterRail trip in Europe. I spend a semester as an Erasmus student in Finland from January and it opened my eyes to wanting to do some travelling, and also I wanted to try and visit as many of my good friends that I made in Europe as possible, and found that a great way to do this would be by Interrailing :)

So my plan is to start in Berlin and visit Warsaw, Vienna, Salzburg, Slovenia (somewhere :D ), Venice, Prague, Paris, Bruges and Amsterdam, and hopefully many more little places in between that people can suggest/recommend.

I am looking for any advice that you guys can offer me, as I will be travelling alone for the first time by rail.

I have already bought my InterRail pass, a 1 month global, and I cant wait to get going!!

hej ...
just some links which might help you ...

Belin-Warszaw: by Berlin-Warszaw-Express https://rail.cc/en/interrail/berlin-to-warsaw
Warszaw-Vienna: https://rail.cc/en/warsaw-vienna-night-train/f1543
Vienna-Salzburg: free day trains
Salzburg to Slovenia ... I definitely recommend LJUBLJANA !! :)
The Venice isn't far away ... sometimes it is cheaper/faster on this connection to check for a bus at the main bus terminal in Ljubljana. :)
Venice to Paris ... have a look at the Italian section of this topic ... there are different night trains to Paris as well from other Italian cities.
I would visit Prague before... like when you are in Warszaw do the way down via Prague/Krakow/Vienna, maybe add Budapest...
Paris up to Benelux have a look at this topic and avoid the expensive THALYS train: https://rail.cc/en/train/paris-to-amsterdam

Thanks for the advice Peter.

One of my concerns about my trip is my budget. I have around €1100 for the month, which when I think about it, is enough, but then I think again and it worries me :/

As I will be staying with quite a few friends in different places, the only places which I will pay for hostels is in Berlin and Prague if I kept to my route, but what do you think about this budget?

if you only need hostels in Berlin and Prague, you will have enough money - definitely !! :)
in Berlin and Prague you will find hostels for 15-20 EUR per night in good dorms:https://rail.shop/hostelworld

calculate like this per day:
food: EUR 10
beer: EUR 10
supplements in average: EUR 3
extras: EUR 10

then add the overnight stays in Berlin+Prague ... and you will see, it will fit ... :)
