Does anybody have any good ideas for campsites in Venice, ideally near to the train stations so as not to do too much travelling we've found a couple but they seem quite far away from the stations??....
Help please

Hi Ian, we are planning to stay at Camping Fusina, it's pretty cheap for a cabin, and you can get to the island by boat from there (its situated on the mainland). Mark

That's the one i've already seen so I reckon that it probably will be the best one lol

We're staying there from the 4th to the 6th of September, then we're off to Bari from there. Yeah, the campsite seems the closest you can get to the island without actually being on it! If you can, get the Rolling Venice pass if you're planning on using the water buses, apparently you can get a water bus from the campsite to the island. When are you there? Mark.

definitely Croatia ... but you have to take the bus along the coast...
then Bulgaria... night train from Budapest-Bucharest via Sofia directly to VARNA ... :)
but this is maybe a bit far for just some days on the beach ... :)
Montenegro is also very interesting!! you can go there by night train via NOVI SAD to BAR.
I think Montenegro, Albania and Macedonia will be the coming countries for tourism in this region the next years. :)
