Hi there,

I'm planning on going interrailing for the first time in a couple of weeks. I will be flying out to romania for a week and from there i will bus/train to bulgaria and then bus to albania and out again. Basically i want to know whether it is really worth it money wise getting a pass for when i leave albania. My route is probably going to be Dubrovnik > Mostar > Sarajevo > Zadar > Lubjilana > Zagreb > Budapest > Maybe Vienna > Prague and finishing in Berlin. I may go to some other small places in between but that is the bulk of my route once i leave albania. If i get a pass i am likely to get the 22 continuous pass which is £269, i may get the 10 in 22 one for £209 but i doubt it.

Anyway, is it worthwhile getting a pass at all or would it be cheaper for me to just pay my own way?

Thanks, DiscoMikael.

hi Mikael ...
if you are traveling on such long distances even up to Berlin, I am pretty sure, InterRail is the cheaper solution!!
but maybe check it directly at the national rail companies for prices - or the bus companies...
therefore I can't give you details.
all the best, Peter :)

it might be cheaper if you can buy advance fare etc, but it will definately be cheaper to get an interrail pass versus normal walk up fares. International trains in Eastern Europe arent that cheap, its only the local ones that are
