This might be a little obvious to some but I'm really unsure. If I'm reserving a seat for a train online, do I state here that I'm using an interrail pass or is this when I collect the ticket. What procedure is involved here? From my own experience of booking trains online, you need to use a visa card and collect the ticket with this! Thanks

hi...
in general: train reservations for InterRail travelers via internet is very hard to do. the best and cheapest way is just to buy the reservations during your tour a big stations. this is not possible in the UK. but when reaching for example Berlin, you can already book reservations for Italy or France or ... :)
and do not book too much in advance as you are then fixed on trains and travel days. find the best mix for yourself between flexibility and freedom.
and for how to buy reservations: some national railway companies offer a pick up service, others send it you at home and so on... different in every country.
maybe this topic is useful for you:

yes. at Berlin (also at Hamburg, Amsterdam, ...) you can reserve a a seat for the train Berlin-Prague.
but you won't need one for this train. this train is free. the direct train Berlin-Prague is 4:30h.
for the night train Prague-Budapest read here: https://rail.cc/en/prague-budapest-train/f1468
the reservation is also possible in Berlin, Hamburg and ... everywhere at big stations... *at least in most cases* :)
