I want to go on Interrail in July but need help creating a route that makes sense. I live in Switzerland and want to start in Paris, I need to go for a weekend in London but want to continue from there. I dont know if its good to continue from there to Amsterdam - Denmark - Sweden, or go back to Paris visit Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon etc. I would like to see both ends. It would also be nice to visit Athens in Greece or Prague.
I would appreciate if someone would help me create a route.
Also I am confused about the reservations and supplements. If I buy the interrail do I have to book the trains I go on in advance?
Any help is appreciated!

hi ...
it depends on the time you have for your travel ...
I would decide either to do the north, the south west or the south east of Europe. you can do it all, but then you will sit a lot in trains and not really see the place you stay. 2 or 3 nights are good for a city to stay.
if you travel Switzerland - Paris - London you can use the ferry https://rail.cc/en/interrail-ferry to the Netherlands and then up to the north.
for train schedules click here: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
use google maps to see a map of Europe and then the rail planer.
and you do not need to buy reservations or supplements for every train. only on some special ones. all are listed here:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
to avoid them, use the link of the route planer, there is an explanation.
