Hello,

I'm thinking about buying a one country pass for this summer (probably for Spain), and I would like to go to Spain by train (I live in Belgium). Does anyone know if there is a possibility to get reduction on the ticket from your country of residence to the country for which you take the one country pass?

There is no reduction outside the country for the one country pass. Maybe you should look at trying to find a cheap advanced ticket. Also make sure you check out the spain sub forum to see what suppliments you will have to pay

Thanks for the info, SiDUDe! Then what do you do normally when travelling with interrail pass? Take a plane? Buy the train to the country extra? Take a global pass? (maybe it's less expensive than one country pass + extra train ticket go&back...)

Although I dont really like going by plane it might be an option if there is a cheap offer available. I dont think that buying single tickets through France is cheaper than buying a global pass.
