Milan to Munich with a 5 day travel pass The best route??

Hi I am looking for some advice on what might be the best interail route to take I have 8 days to travel from Milan to Munich.I have bought a 5 day within 10 day global travel pass. I would like to visit 2 or 3 other cities along the way and am wonering what might be the most ineresting route to take as a first time interailer ?? All advice would be greatly appreciated :) :P Cheers Sarah
