Hello

I have my itineray ready for the first half of my Interrail this summer. I begin in Paris and from there I will go to Nice - Florence - Rome - Venezia - After Venezia I will be more free and try to use night trains and wake up in a new location. Though I will be going to Berlin and Copenhagen.

My questions are theese.

When I arrive at an airport in France on july 5th will i still be able to use my interrail ticket to go to Nice 3 days later if I haven´t make a reservation? Is it enough to reserve the trains with maybe 1 or 2 days in advance in the most tourist city in the world at the most tourist time :o And can I at the train station in France reserve trains from Nice to - Florence and from Florence to Rome ETC or is it only possible at the train station the train will be departing from?

Also, coming from Iceland, do I need Visa in any european country? Not being member of the EU?

And at last, is there anywhere online where I can buy the Interrail ticket in other currency than the british pound, because the pound is Extremely unfriendly to the króna and the Euro or the polish currency are more friendlier, especially the Polish.

And at last, we are two going on Interrail and so far, it´s much cheaper to go to a budget hotel than goint to a hostel, isn´t that out of the ordinary?

Hi.

you can buy all the supplements in Paris at a station - do it as soon as possible after you arrived there. maybe you wont get the train you want, so be flexible in mind - use one earlier or later. you will find seats.

just ask at the embassies of the different countries...

yes you can at some stations - for example in Paris - but let's say it this way: you get support here at the forum, so it is fair to buy your ticket here and support this project... :)
if not - buy it somewhere else, but pay attention to get a correct one as this spring and starting summer, there was already a lot of wrong printed tickets.

:arr: detailed information about reservations for Interrail travellers: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation

sometimes I also use budget hotels - especially if you are two travellers, it might be cheaper... for France have a look at accorhotels.com

all the best and have fun, Peter :)
