Hey everyone,
I bought a 1 month global pass this afternoon from a USIT office in Ireland. It just came in a USIT envelope, with my invoice, a map, and the Interrail Guide. There is no fold out Travel report sheet of any kind, as mentioned in the Guide.
Should I definetly have recieved one, and they just forgot? If so I'll go back tomorrow and ask for one, as the last thing I need on my budget is to be fined by a ticket inspector! :)
Also, does it matter which side of the ticket all the information is on? I'm just asking this silly question as usually with European train tickets the writing is on the side with all the boxes, but with this interrail ticket it is on the blank side.. If you understand what I mean!
They just did'nt seem to sure as to what they were doing today, that's why I'm a bit paranoid. ;)
Thanks a lot!
Rory

Hi.
Better to buy next time from railcc to get the complete one: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Then you also support all the free information you get here. :) Thank you.
Peter :)

I did'nt know that there was a right place and a wrong place to buy the ticket, I just thought that an interrail ticket is an interrail ticket?
I don't mean to offend anyone by not buying from them.

It's just fair to buy there where you get the information from.
As it is like everywhere: the information ,the time we spent, the servers, the programming has to be paid. And to keep the railcc project running, we need the support of the users of railcc by purchasing their tickets here. :)
To answer your question: you need the sheets attached to your ticket to fill in your travel route.
And the ticket information has to be printed on the site with all the squares/boxes, not on the blank site - you got an invalid ticket ! :|

Ok well I will have the correct information for the next time. :)
Thank you a lot for your help, planning this journey is so stressful, I cannot believe that it was so difficult to even get the right ticket!!
These guys are the main student travel organisation in Ireland, so I thought that it was natural and reliable to buy the ticket there.
Thanks Peter! :)

at the beginning InterRail seems to be stressful ... but wait until you are 3 days on tour - then you get more and more relaxed and enjoy the feeling of freedom ... and it is great !! :)
and with the ticket purchase ... I know ... it is always a problem - as often the staff (even of big travel agencies) simply do not know the rules. :|
now you and maybe others know it for future ...
have a sunny tour and all the best, Peter :)

Thanks Peter, I feel a lot better now. I know that I will love it when I am out on the road, the planning is the most stressful part. :)
I have travelled a lot, but never with an interrail pass.. yet. So I was suspicious when I looked at my ticket and realised that it was printed on the wrong side. Also the pass is just paper, it is not strong like tickets in other European countries.
AND the people in the agency did'nt really know the answers to a lot of my questions..
But at least now, I know exactly what I need, so I will go back in the morning and I hope that all will be ok. :)
Thanks again Peter, have a good summer! :)

Oh by the way Peter,
Are there any other things I should look out for? Things which maybe they forget also with the ticket?
Thanks, Rory

Well I returned it today and after some discussion, the woman realised that the tickets had been printed incorrectly. So she made me a new one, but I hope that there are not people already in Europe who are having trouble with their USIT Interrail pass! :(
She also told me that it is no longer necessary to have a travel report. :'(
