Hi,
This summer will be my first time interrailing with my twin brother. So far I've booked flights to Bremen on 27th June and a flight back from Basel-Mulhouse on 30th July. I have also ordered month long passes from 28th June. My brother's not too fussed where we go, apart from he wants to go to Scandinavia and Slovenia and because I speak German, I have a slight preference for Germanic countries. This is the route I've come up with, I just wanted to know if there are any places on the route which I've missed out that would be worth visiting.
Copenhagen - Malmo/Gothenburg - Trondheim - (Narvik/Lulea) - Rovaniemi - Helsinki - Stockholm - Luxembourg - Munich - Vienna - Ljubljana - Postojna Caves - Piran - Bohinj/Bled -Salzburg - Innsbruck - Liechtenstein - Bern - Basel
By the way, I went to Olso, Bergen and Berlin last summer, and I'm studying in Germany next year so I decided to leave those places out :)
Thanks
Owen

Thanks for the reply :P
Would you recommend going on the Inlandsbanan instead of from Trondheim to Narvik? I've heard they're both really scenic.

do it this way... go up to the north in Norway via Trondheim to Bodö - from there you have to take the bus to Narvik (as there is no rail connection) - from Narvik go down by train to Gällivare from where th Inlandsbanan starts ...
Bodo - Narvik: https://rail.cc/en/train/bodo-to-narvik
Inlandsbanan:

It is fantastic nature there - especially Narvik to Gällivare - just two weeks ago there was a lot of snow - now there is sun ...!!! :)
In Gällivare you can stay at the camp site of the city - it is cheap - a walk of about 20 minutes...

it is the cheapest place to stay ... the have as well cottages for two persons: 35 EUR including everything (kitchen, shower, toilet, TV, free - but slow - wireless internet access)
