Good afternoon all, really considering this Euro train idea for the coming summer !
Wondered if a few of you who have been before could help me with a few queries as there appears to be no contact telephone number with an advisor !? I'm a 23 year old ,have just finished university, and really want to do something proactive this summer that I will look back fondly on !
- The 10 day of 22 I presume means limited to travelling 10 of the days ? I presume these can be any ?
- Additional supplements. Are these expensive ? For example would I have to pay when I've arrived in Spain to travel from Barcelona to Madrid ?
- Does the Eurotrain include my journey out of England ?
- Are there restrictions on trains ? Does my ticket cover most journeys ?
- How reliable are the trains ?
And finally, did you have fun on your trip ?!
It really appeals as theres so much of Europe I'd like to see !

hi ... :)
1) you only have to fix the starting date of your ticket - then you can fill in the 10 travel days whenever you need them manually - so you stay very flexible and free. the travel days do not have to be in a row.
2) all supplements are listed here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
compare them to the trains you will use: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
3) to leave your country of residence, you have to pay a ticket until the border. sometimes you get a discount, sometimes not (like in the UK). but have a look at the UK country topic here at the forum where you will find options like ferries or the Eurostar to leave the UK.
https://rail.cc/en/how-to-interrail
4) You can use all national railway companies of the different European countries.
5) In western and central Europe you can count on the times of the schedules, in Eastern Europe especially the long distances trains are often in delay.
6) DEFINITELY YES ! :)

So what method would be the cheapest for me to kick off my trip into Europe considering I'm coming from England ?
Do the night trains cost a lot also ?

1) Have a look on these three possibilities or use a cheap flight.
https://rail.cc/blog/from-london-to-amsterdam-with-the-dutchflyer/
https://rail.cc/en/ferry-london-paris-england-france/f1222
https://rail.cc/en/london-paris-eurostar-train/f1805
2) If you compare the price for a night in a hostel, night trains are the same or cheaper - and you save travel time - and it is a bit of adventure - you have to do it at least once on your tour. You will meet a lot other travelers and it is fun! :)
All supplements for night trains are listed at the country topics of this forum .
