CROATIA: bus connections

Zagreb bus timetable: http://www.akz.hr/EN/voznired.aspx

Its a pretty good system, you turn up at the bus station and there is one place that sells tickets for all the companies. Faster, air conditioned buses are a little more expensive. I think Zadar-Zagreb was around €17 one way, on the fastest route

How does a bus trip take from zagreb to zadar compared to a train trip. the train zagreb - split takes 6 hrs, so zagreb - zadar probably about 3? and the bus?

thanks a lot!

I think you have to buy them at the local bis station :)
Maybe buy the Ticket when you arrive at the Bus Station, if it is possible.
In Kotor (montenegro) it wasn't possible. We Had to buy the Ticket a few minutes Before the Depature. In Dubrovnik it was possible to get a Ticket to Kotor an Hour Before the Bus Tooks Depature. The Bus Station wasn't overcrowded. Journeys were taken Last Weekend :)
