Hi ...
just use the schedule planer: https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route
There is NO direct night train. Cheapest solution if you want to avoid supplements ( the connection with supplements aren't a lot faster):
Barcelona Sants Dep: 0916 (regional train)
Cerbere Arr: 1200
Cerbere Dep: 1243 (regional train)
Beziers Arr: 1424
Beziers Dep: 1443 (regional train)
Marseille-St-Charles Arr: 1734
Marseille-St-Charles Dep: 1759 (regional train)
Nice Ville Arr: 2025

You need reservation on TGV, Corail Téoz, Talgo trains. On Corail Intercités and TER you don't need it.
Search online for schedules:
https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route
Or tell us about day and time you'd like to go. ;)

I think I go from
Montreux-Nice 19.07.09
Nice-Marseille 20.07.09
Marseille-Barcelona 21.07.09
Barcelona-Madrid-Lissabon within 2 days
Lissabon to Venice 25.07.09, arrive within 2 days.
Venice to Rome 27.07.09
Rome to Lecce 29.07.09
What do you think? Am I a bit crazy or very crazy?
:P

Why not? The thing is, with such a tight schedule you don't wanna miss any of your trains...it's also difficult to choose between making all the reservations you'd need for this trip in advance - then being fixed on this route but you wouldn't have to worry about looking for connections en route. Or you stay more flexible and do the reservations for the next part of the trip when you arrive in a city - then you have the risk of trains being full already and you might not be able to visit a certain city. Particularly for visiting Portugal this is crucial since there are only two daily night trains (Madrid - Lisboa and Irun - Lisboa) from and to Portugal (besides the two daily trains at the Tui border crossing but they wont help if you come from Barcelona or want to go to Venice).
