Hey guys.
I have thought about my travel in august for some time now and I came to the conclusion that it won't work if I don't get some answers :)
first of all: what do you say to our route?
Linz - Paris (nighttrain)
Paris - Bilbao
Bilbao - Salamanca
Salamanca - Cádiz
Cádiz - Granada
Granada - Madrid
Madrid - Barcelona
Barcelona via Italy back home
We going to use the 21day-ticket within 10 traveldays.
do you have some ideas where we could sleep cheaply or what we must visit in all those cities?
i'm soo excited :)
thx

Hi ...
It is a good route and you can do it with the ticket you selected.
But always have a look at the supplements in Spain: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/spain/es
Check it together with the train schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
For cheap accommodation have a look on [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]
In hostels they often can tell you as well the best places to go out to drink, party and sightseeing - so that's why I recommend to stay overnight in hostels.

It might be a better idea to go Linz - Munich - Paris instead of Linz - Strasbourg - Paris...first it's cheaper and second you don't have to rely on the tight connection in Strasbourg from the EN to the TGV...if the night train is late you will miss the TGV and end up with a reservation you cant use and it might be difficult to get a new one for a later TGV at short-notice. That's why I always use the CNL from Munich directly to Paris since the direct Vienna - Paris EN has been withdrawn.
However you have to leave earlier from Linz.
Just a suggestion...

you can use the TGV France-Germany for a supplement of EUR 5. it is the direct train once per day. book early in advance: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/france/fr
other options: by free ICE train to Mannheim (ICE Germany-France: EUR 5 - https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/germany/de ) or Stuttgart (TGV France-Germany: EUR 5) and jump there in the trains mentioned.
