Good evening!
I have a few questions for my (+4 others) trip to Eastern-Europe from Amsterdam in Holland.
First of all, we are all 17 a budget round the 700/1000 euro's. The holiday must be a combination of partying, drinking, enjoying the few, camping, hiking, sight-seeing and having a good time ofcourse. We will be sleeping in hostels or in tents, for foods-sake we wil just eet what comes by ;)
Our plan was to start-off at Amsterdam then travel as fast as possible (as few stops as possible) to Prague. Then stay there for a couple of days to take of to Bratislava for a couple of days, next stop would be Boedapest for a few days, then to Zagreb for some days then to Triest and back with the fastest run.
How do I plan all of this? Do i book the hostels in advantage or do i take care of that when we arrive?
Tips anyone?
THANKS
Bas.

hi Bas ...
just have a look at the country topics of this forum, where you get a lot of extra information for example about night trains...
Amsterdam - Prague: either by direct night train (Dep: 19:01, Arr. 09:38) - https://rail.cc/en/amsterdam-prague-night-train/f3747 - or step by step Amsterdam-Berlin ( https://rail.cc/en/amsterdam-berlin-train/f2346 ) and then by free and direct train Berlin-Prague.
just have a look at the train schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
the same for the rest of your route - do it like above. :)
about the hostels: if you know your arrival date, book it in advance as in summer they are often full. if you only need a dorm - then you will get beds - but maybe not the best ones. a good solution not to be too much fixed on dates is to book the hostels 2-3 days before you arrive ...
Peter :)
