Hey, ich möchte mit im Frühling 2023 Freunden die Zugstrecken von Budapest nach Belgrad, und von dort weiter nach Bar fahren (alles tagsüber). Das ganze dann auch später wieder zurück. Ist das möglich, oder sind die Strecken wegen Baustellen u.a. noch immer gesperrt?

All by train: as yet unknown, but expect no. There will be gaps anbd the tempo in which the rebuilding seems to go makes it very unlikely that the whole line will be ready to have trains running. In fact in HU there are since a few weeks even more cut-backs. And even the former SEV-bus is no more.
Novi-Sad-Bgr is Serbije is completely new with new trains, the pride&joy if Serbije Voz-and will not accept your passes-PAY!
From Bgr (the new station, that seems to slowly getting more improved) to Bar the usual situation: night train all yr, daytime only summer and always heavy delays.
The fixed idea that train is better and that it will be cheaper is also nonsense in these parts of the world-locals have long sine chosen with their feet.

Nein, geht aktuell nicht.
International gibt es in Serbien aktuell nur Belgrad - Bar.

Ach schade, na dann werden wir es mit dem Bus von Budapest oder von Zagreb aus nach Belgrad versuchen müssen.
