Is there a age limit to sleep in hostels? I'm 16 and would like to go for the 5/10 days rail but not sure about accommodation.

Hi.
Some hostels only accept minors when an adult (18 or older) is with them. Maybe call or email them before. But most small and private run hostels will accept you - as they have to earn their money. :)
Book your hostels here to support our project. Thank you. [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]

Hey man. I am currently posting from the Lobby in Memminger Hamburg who won't let me check in till I get parental permission because I'm not 18 for another 4 weeks. Even once I get permission I can only stay in private rooms here, not dorms. The girl at the desk said it was German law...

And the big hostels like the Meininger has to follow the law otherwise they will have big problems. So maybe try a smaller private one. Even I can definitely recommend the Meininger Hamburg!!
