Hi.
Yes of course ... you can as well buy an InterRail ticket and just use it on a single journey in one country - but it won't be worth. Maybe on your journey you even get single train tickets to a special offer - it is sometimes cheaper than InterRail. What is your journey from which place to which country/city?

Its unlikely to be cheaper, but it will be much more fun and environmentally friendly!

If you want to stay 4-5 days in each of the big cities, then add the long distance travels and the free ferry from Greece to Italy, you might need a 10 travel days in 22 days InterRail Global Pass... fares are here:

You can use as well some night trains: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train

Your pass will be valid on 22 consecutive days - on 10 days on these 22 you can travel freely by train. You need these days in advance (not before your journey, but the day before you want to use this day), however you can make use of the 1900-rule: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
