Hey there.
Was thinking of bringing my laptop on my trip round Europe this summer. Already have the relevant plugs to change from British to European plug but I was wondering if there are plugs for laptops on the trains in Europe? Would certainly help the long travel hours go by if we could watch a DVD while travelling :) .
This question is in relation specifically to Germany, Switzerland, France and Spain as those are the countries I'll be on trains from/to.

You can find plugs on
most ICE (all but ICE 2 on the route Berlin - Köln)
many SBB trains (IC, IR, ICN depending on rolling stock)
refurbished TGV (those run on all routes, it depends on the day if you catch a train with or without plugs)
AVE trains

Thanks for th hlp :) .
So my trains are IC, ICE, TER, TJC, PME and AVE. From what you've told me there is a good chance for the first two but not so much for the other ones then?

On IC, ICE, AVE and if you're lucky on TER you should find plugs, however it can depend from trainset to trainset. By PME you mean a spanish hotel train? TJC I've no clue what train this is.
