There is no direct train on this route. Most effective rout will be
Montpellier - Lyon by TGV
Lyon - Chambery by Regional Train
Chambery - Torino by TGV
Calculate 8 hours for this journey.

For train schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
For supplements: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation

A cheaper alternative would be:

Montpellier 1016 - Nice 1425
Nice 1146 - Ventimiglia 1533
Venitmiglia 1556 - Torino 1925

3€ supplement for TEOZ Montpellier - Nice; the other route would be more convenient though as you would travel by TGV mostly.
