Hi everyone!
I'm living in France and I plan (with some friends) to go to Slovenia this summer. The InterRail offer appears as a good choice since we may want to travel inside Slovenia. The fact is that I've seen on [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] that in order to purchase a pass, we need to register our passport number. Since we're gonna stay in the Schengen Area, I was wondering if we could not rather register our ID number ? Actually I do not have passport and I think I can't got it until August..
As I'm here, I got other issues :
- do we need to buy tickets if we got a pass ? Or just reserve ?
- do we need to go to our railway station to buy tickets (or reserve) or is that possible to handle this by internet ?
- as we're living in France, will even our internal tickets be free ?
If you do not understand something (my english is not so perfect :P ), I likely can explain it better ;) Thanks!

Im not sure about the passport issue - im british so need my passport wherever i go, but Peter will know...
You dont need to buy another ticket once you have an IR ticket. On some trains you need to pay for a suppliment or reservation
You can but the IR ticket on the web (on this site) but to get reservations or suppliments you need to go to a main train station
No, you can get a 50% reduction off normal tickets in your country of residence
Votre anglais est meilleur que mon français!

Thanks for these quick answers :)
Do you know if trains stations (big ones..) are well-informed about IR tickets/pass ? I never heard about it before I got there while I was Googling..! I mean, may they reject our IR pass as they don't know about it ?

SiDUDe,
By the way, do EU citizens get their passport stamped when entering the UK?

No, but I think you can ask for a stamp if you'd like one
