Validate my ticket on SeaFrance Ferry?

Hello All,

I have just rashly purchased a 50% off Sea France ferry ticket - getting the discount as I will have an InterRail pass.

My sailing is on the 4th of July and I have only just realised that my interrail pass is valid from the 5th - my question is -
- Can I still travel on the discounted ferry ticket without having a pass that is valid?
- Will this count as my first days travel?
