Just a quick one guys, does anybody know the best/cheapest place in central/western europe to buy cigarettes??? The only easterly place we're going is prague so dont know if that is allowed in the UK HMRC allowance as it might be classed as Eastern Europe? and some of those countries you are only allowed to bring back 200 cigarettes without paying more duty tax :(

The limit of 200 is for Estonia, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Romania, in other EU countries the normal limit of 3200 applies

If you are adventureous go to Turkey, cigarettes are the cheapest at the Bulgarian/Turkish border. Very popular with local Bulgarians. I don't smoke myself but the train attendant of my sleeper asked me if I could buy some cigarettes for him.

ahhhh brilliant but Bulgaria is on the UK HMRC website as eastern european and are therefore only allowed to bring back 200 compared to other countries where the limit is 3200, anybody else know where else would be a good CHEAP place :)

Cheers folks

hedgehogs123,

Its pretty standard price across europe east and west! you will make savings of pennies but not much i recomend by local branded as this will be cheaper compared to big uk brands! but gd luck!
