Hello,

I´m planning a trip across Europe and I have a question regarding the railjet service between Vienna and Budapest. I founf the price for a normal ticket at 19€ and I couldn't find if it is free for europe pass holders or there is a reservation supplement.

Anyone can help?

Thank you

always use the direct trains as if you have to change in Hungary (using IC trains) you will have to pay a supplement. but with the Railjet it is like Simon said.
see here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/hungary/hu

In the interrail schedule ( https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route ) where's that railjet train?

It's the EURegio? or the Budapest-Keleti Wien EuroCity (EC942 or EC 968) ?

Thank you.

The Railjet trains are marked with a RJ.

Some examples:

Wien Westbahnhof Dep: 0650
Budapest-Keleti pu Arr: 0949

Wien Westbahnhof Dep: 1350
Budapest-Keleti pu Arr: 1649

Wien Westbahnhof Dep: 1750
Budapest-Keleti pu Arr: 2049

but as well the EC trains are free - not the ICs. :)

Oh I see, there are only a few RJ, I had to use the later link to see them. There are a lot of EC though.

Thanks!
