Going for a euro trip with some friends from university... and thought i'd get some opinions off some experienced people :)
Austria - Prague - 27-28th June
Slovakia 29-1
Hungary 2-3
Croatia 4-6
Serbia 7-9
What do you think? I think we'll mostly be visiting capitals, staying at hostels. Any recommended places to visit?
Are the no. of days we have decided to stay at each country more than enough or for some its too much?
Dont really know how much there is to see in each capital city.. daytime sightseeing or nightlife is best in...?
Anything else which should take into consideration? e.g availability of night trains etc?
Would appreciate any comments. Thanks!

mmk...
bratislava will keep you entertained for a day at most, its tiny. There is much more to do in Budpest, baths/museums/general sightseeing etc. Plus the nightlife is better. Zagreb is cool, but in croatia its really all about the beaches and islands. In belgrade there is pretty much nothing to during the day (apart from see part of a shot down american bomber that they are very proud of) but the place is banging at night. Ask around at the hostel for the best party places.
You are massivley missing out not going to Slovenia or Bosnia. Ljubljana is the nicest capital ive been to, and bled is awesome. Sarajevo is my second favourite capital, and Mostar is pretty an has an amazing story to tell.
Night trains - your looking at maybe €10-15 for a couchette, and you can book them on the day. They will almost certainly be very, very late.

Thanks for the reply sidude..was very helpful
we will re-think our route then and post again if i have any queries.
Concerning couchettes... Whether you have an interail pass or not i take it you have to pay the full price for a couchette?
Does that mean we might be better off not getting an interrail pass? and just paying for single travel tickets/ couchettes?

Probably not. If you didnt have an IR ticket youd have to pay for a ticket + couchette suppliment, with IR you just pay the couchette suppliment.
