Quoting verbatim from the Interrail booklet:
Although your Interail pass gives you access to rail travel in participating countries, certain trains - such as high-speed, international and night trains - usually require you to reserve a seat and pay an extra fee.
Myself and two friends are travelling the following route:

Amsterdam > Munich > Llubjana > Rijeka > Zagreb > Sarajevo > Belgrade > Timisoara > Budapest

Anyone know if we need to reserve or pay extra for these routes. The Zagreb > Sarajevo train is an night train I am a worried we wont be able to get a space.

Thoughts????

Thanks in advance

Amsterdam Munich can be done by free ICE (though reservation is recommended at €4 or by CNL (see https://rail.cc/en/amsterdam-munich-night-train/f3745 )

You will have no problems on the Zagreb Sarajevo train. Buy a reservation in Zagreb or on the train.

Sarajevo - Belgrade is much easier by bus
