Remember that in your country of residence you can not travel for free: https://rail.cc/en/how-to-interrail
And then use the links mentioned above and a map ... to find the places where you want to go to ... :)

so far i have planned to leave Portugal 16 August on a Benelux one country pass for 3/4 days..these 3 or 4 days start counting when i reach Amsterdam right?..

can you please tell me how payment for the tickets is made?..

once i have left my country of origin and in Spain for this instance can i travel using the one country pass or is it only 4 belgium luxemborg and amsterdam? there 4 i would be having 2 purchase train tickets untill i get to belguim?..

ah by the way.. ive had 1 or 2 people tell me that everyday life in Amsterdam is more than average in relation 2 prices of good and food, drinks, tabacco etc.. in everyday means like day 2 day stuff etc...

:?:

The one country pass is only valid in one country... (or confusingly the Benelux countries for that pass)

It is not valid outside those countries, so you would need to buy normal tickets until you reached the border. You can buy the ticket on this site, and it will be sent anywhere in Europe within 48 hours.

Amsterdam is certainly more expensive than portugal. A hostel is around €20, you can get a falafal for around €4-5, I think a pint of Heineken was around €3 in a bar, though im not 100%

Hope this helps

yeah, you can always walk up and buy tickets, but it is usually cheaper buy in advance. Some trains (like the sud-express and the train hotel from spain to france) can get booked up so id recommend you book these in advance

Yes, you can leave whenever you want.

A completely other option for your trip would be the 5 in 10 days flexi pass. It could be cheaper as the one country pass plus the transfer tickets. However you might not be as flexible as with your Benelux pass.
