Well basically me and some mates are gonna do a Euro Trip this summer to relax and celebrate the end of school, its our first euro trip and i'm the cautious type. I want to clarify our route plan and make sure that there aren't too many hidden extra charges, which I am expecting. So If you could just read through this little plan we've made and comment on anything we've messed up on.

5th August Train Barcelona to Paris the night train (Spain being our country of residence means we still pay 50 % or something?)
8th Paris -> Amsterdam
12th Amsterdam -> Berlin
15th Berlin -> Prague
19th Prague -> Munich
20th Munich -> Lyon

and fly back from Lyon someday, in Lyon theres no real accommodation cost as we are staying at a mates house.

So my questions are

1) Will our route all be included in the ticket, which trains need to be prebooked?
2) How much will we be spending a day on food/water (living out of supermarkets)
3) Any comments on hostels in each city (we've drawn up a list but need to narrow down still)
4) Any good pubs/clubs in each city
5) 3 of us will be 17 but easily pass for 18, will that be a problem?

Cheers guys :P

hej ...

for the train supplements click here:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/barcelona-to-paris Night train Elipsos from Barcelona to Paris (you have to buy a normal ticket with 50% until the French border - this is PORT BOU)
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/paris-to-amsterdam Paris - Amsterdam
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/amsterdam-to-paris Amsterdam - Berlin
Berlin - Prague: use the free day train ... only takes 4 hours ... https://rail.cc/en/interrail/berlin-to-prague
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/prague-to-munich Prague - Munich (use the free direct ALX train)
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/munich-to-lyon Munich - Lyon ... there are two ways: Munich - Karlsruhe (by free ICE/IC/TGV)), cross the border to Strasbourg by regional train (as with TGV you have to pay a supplement). in Strasbourg change to Lyon. second way: via Switzerland (Geneve) ... very nice with the mountains! :)

for your minor friends: some of the adults should take a signed paper of their parents: XX is responsible during the tour for the minors... thats it. :)

for food and drinks... just calculate it for one day and multiplicate it with your travel days: expl: 1 day: beer (10 EUR), food (5 EUR), hostel (20 EUR) ... is 35 EUR per day with 20 travel days = ~ EUR 600 ... ;)

and if you want to support the railcc project, buy your tickets at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - official tickets - secure delivery.

have fun, Peter :)
