Hi,
I would like to know how to find the timetables for the little yellow train? As when I go on the main website it doesn't seem to work... Is that the only connection between la tour de carol and ville franche?
Thanks :)

hi...
yes it is the only connection. this train is a real adventure. and free of any supplements. :)
for details of the train schedule: https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route
fill in Latour de Carol-Enveitg and Villefranche Vernet les Bains
the real train connection starts at the end of May with at least 5 connections per day.
Peter :)

Thank you :) I've looked at the timetables and it seems to fit on with what we're doing which is really cool, although because we are heading to barcelona after taking the train it seems tht we may need to spend the night in perpignan, or somewhere around there before getting the next train in the morning, do you know if there is anywhere to stay around there? preferably somewhere we could just pitch our tents for a few hours sleep would be good...

I always stayed overnight at La Tour de Carol ... just behind the station (there is no one at night, but get up before the staff is coming at 0600h in the morning) ... or just walk a little bit and you will find a quiet place. it is peaceful there !! :) but pay attention: even in summer it gets really cold !!! :o

Staying at Latour de Carol would not be any good for us as we are leaving from Barcelona...
My plan is:
Take the bus at around 9 to Latour de Carol on 24.07.09
Take the 15:07 (little yellow train) from Latourde Carol to Villefranche
Take the 18:41 to Perpignan
and this is where I get stuck as we are heading for Venice so our next train would be to Ventimiglia (we are only using the regional trains) but there is not one until the next day. Then after that we can head straight for Venice in 24 hours, reaching Venice on 26.07.09. So I need somewhere to sleep either in Villefranche or Perpignan...are either stations close enough to a beach?
Thank you :)
