Hi...
I'm planning on going interrailing this august. I can only travel for 2 weeks but I think I will purchase the 10days within 22 interrail pass as I want to travel quite a bit. I am from the UK and will be starting off in Spain and plan to take the route Malaga-Barcelona-Milan-Venice-Berlin-Amsterdam-Brusells (where I will get a Eurostar back to the UK). I've found out most info between the cities quite easily but I'm really struggling to find the best route from Venice to Berlin :| .
I've had a look on the route finder and have found various routes but it seems like you need to take about 3 different trains which all have fairly high supplements :!: . Would you be able to suggest the best route? I would prefer to take a night train and I don't mind paying a supplement for a more direct route as long as it isn't too high. Would it be cheaper if I stopped off somewhere in Switzerland before going on to Berlin?
Any advice would be really appreciated as I'm very new to this. Thanks :P .
Jess.

Hi Jess ...
there are two possible connections with only one change and each ONE night train and ONE day train. There are some nice towns in Switzerland where you can stop (but then have to change the route). I personally really like Geneve and Zürich. :)

Venezia Santa Lucia Dep: 13:20 - https://rail.cc/en/interrail/venice-to-munich
München Ost Arr: 20:14
München Ost Dep: 22:30 - https://rail.cc/en/interrail/munich-to-berlin
Berlin Hbf Arr: 07:41
:!: Of course you can take an earlier train from Venezia to Munich to have some hours in Munich.
Or combine this connection with the following to have two night trains and a full day in Munich as stop.
If you want to be closer to the centre of Munich, leave at Munich Hbf - main station.

Thanks a lot Peter! Very helpful :P
I like the look of the first option with the possibility of getting an earlier train and spending a bit of time in Munich... what reservation charges would there be for the trains on this route?

always have a look at the supplements section of the website. there you will find the information you need, as all trains with supplements are listed there: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation :)
the EC from Venezia to Munich is between EUR 5 and 7 ... depends if it goes on to Vienna or not ...
