Hostels in Amsterdam are a bit hit and miss - they go from being pretty much drug dens (which might be what you want...) to ones run by nuns. Cant say ive stayed in a fantastic one in 'Dam, theyve all just been alright
In Rome we stayed at Hostel Alessandro Downtown, which was pretty cool.
In Venice we managed to get into somewhere on Venice itself which was pretty cool, but I cant for the life of me remember what it was called, sorry
When I went to Copenhagen I was with my family so we stayed in a posh hotel...

Hi,
the only info i can give you is on rome,if thats any good to you.try countryclub castelfusano.it is a bit outside rome but its got a bus to the beach,nearest tube station and the airport(fiumicino).its very youth orientated and i cannot recommend it highly enough.

The one best hostel in Rome is called The Yellow and in Amsterdam The Flying Pig Downtown.
