:arr: Booking of point to point tickets from Berlin to Krakow (including special fares) here: https://rail.shop/bahn?s=Berlin&e=Krakau
Hi.
This was definitely the normal full price. I always get sad when I hear such stories that staff working in stations often don't know the rules. :'(
You already paid the basic fare by your InterRail ticket.
You only have to pay the supplement. have a look at this topic: https://rail.cc/en/krakow-gdansk-berlin-night-train/f1408
maybe just reply with the price of the supplement you paid in Berlin then. go to the main train station (Berlin Hauptbahnhof).
just some personal information.
if you want to spent the afternoon in a bar sitting outside on the street in the sun with some students around you, go to the corner of Friedrichshain (A) . it is close to one of the stations where your train will leave tonight - Berlin Lichtenberg 21:04h (B) - http://maps.google.de/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Simon-Dach-Stra%C3%9Fe&daddr=52.511786,13.499837&hl=de&geocode=FYY7IQMdglLNAA%3B&mra=mi&mrsp=1,0&sz=15&sll=52.509665,13.481941&sspn=0.019563,0.05579&ie=UTF8&ll=52.508464,13.475161&spn=0.019564,0.05579&z=15
The best is to do it by S-Bahn from S+U Warschauer Str. (Berlin) to S+U Lichtenberg Bhf (Berlin) within 5 minutes. have a look on: http://www.fahrinfo-berlin.de/Fahrinfo/bin/query.bin/en
have fun in Berlin, Peter :)

So what's the best way to go from Berlin to Krakow? By night train? How much does it cost?
Thanks :)

use the night train and spent the money instead for a hostel for the night train:

Hi!
I'm planning on making the same trip this August. I followed this here link to the train timetable https://rail.cc/en/krakow-gdansk-berlin-night-train/f1408 , but the only train that I can find is at 9.30 in the morning. Can you book this journey in advance? Surely you must be able to.
Thanks for any help.x

Hey,
sorry to add onto this thread. I will be arriving into Berlin in three weeks and traveling on from there to krakow, hoping to get the night train. how would I go about booking this ticket- is there a link online i can follow- how do i let them know that i have the interrail pass also? Or do i have to wait until i get to berlin to book this? Cheers.
