I have a few questions about the following route, any advice would be much appreciated.

1) Other than the Amsterdam-Berlin night train are there any other night trains I can take?

2) In your opinion is this the right amount of destinations to do in a month? (i.e is there going to be too much sitting on trains because of the distances covered)

3) Would you rather start at Nice or Amsterdam? Why?

Thanks!

ROUTE
Amsterdam - Berlin - Prague - Budapest - Zagreb - Split - Ljubljana - Bologna - Genoa - Nice

hi Geo ...

1) there is only the one CNL night train Amsterdam-Berlin ... this one is really cheap compared to some other European night trains:

2) it is definitely not too much ... you can make some journeys over-night and save the hostel (have a look at the country topics to find more information about night trains).

3) I would start in Amsterdam ... as especially in Eastern Europe you sometimes change your route a little bit spontaneously - if one train is in delay... but... no real reason ... Nice would be okay as well. :)
