hello, me and my friend are currently planning an interrail trip through europe in August this year. We were originally planning to use a 22 day continuous pass, but think the 10 days in 22 pass may give us more time in specific places, as we could begin it with a flight into the continent and begin the pass out there.
our planned route would be as follows...
flight from london-->Turin
begin interrail pass in Turin, with the following days travelling...
Turin-->Venice
Venice-->Zagreb
Zagreb-->Sarajevo
Sarajevo-->Belgrade
Belgrade-->Bucharest
Bucharest-->Budapest
Budapest-->Warsaw
Warsaw-->Berlin
Berlin-->Amsterdam
Amsterdam-->London
As you can see this is 10 days of travel. While some of the journeys are fairly lengthy(primarily in south east europe) i believe this should be possible to achieve each leg in a day, utilizing your policy with night trains beginning after 7 in the evening. I was just seeking confirmation that this route would be possible on a 10 day travel pass. And if this is not the case, which part we would be best advised to take on bus for instance, so we can figure out if it would still be cost effective to get the 10 day travel pass.
cheers,
sam and james

Sarajevo Belgrade is much quicker by bus, if you want to play it a bit safe

nice one, i had a feeling that might be the case. have you got any idea what sort of times the bus leaves from sarajevo, and how much it costs? i am having a look over the internet but most of the information i keep finding is not necessarily still in date.
also im not too sure if you are an official mediator of the website or just a friendly person(bit new to this forum!!) but i was wandering what the best way to reserve places on trains around eastern europe is, if it is necessary.

im just some guy who would rather help out other travellers rather than do revision for his exams!
I cant remember exactly how much the bus was, it wasnt cheap, perhaps €20? - I think there were 2 a day. I know it leaves not from the main bus station but from one the suburbs. They wont be that busy, if you ask at the hostel they will be able to confirm.
Its best to reserve places on overnight trains at the train station - especially if you want a couchette/sleeper. Most normal trains dont require any reservation.
Also, expect to be delayed by at least several hour, especially going through serbia!
