Interrail - Strasbourg - Amsterdam - Paris - Barcelona

Hi everyone,

I know that this topic has been discussed over and over again but I'll have to bring it up again. I'll be travelling around Europe with my 15year old little brother. So for my mothers piece of mind (and my own), I'm trying to plan this trip as much as I can. However I have looked and researched on the train websites and I can't make heads or tails of them.

Our route:

Strassbourg-Amsterdam (2 day stay)

Amsterdam-Paris (any nighttrains possible; stay in Paris for 2 days)

Paris-Barcelona (again nighttrain?!)

Barcelona- Florcence --> How long will that journey take roughly? And again nighttrains available?

Florence-Vienna (nighttrain?)

Another question will it be possible to book/reserve places on the trains each time we get into the station for the outward journey?
