Hi there
I'm going to be travelling from Venice to Greece, where I intend getting the ferry to over to Italy and back up to Rome. The Italy part of the trip is easy, but can anyone advise on a good route from Venice taking in a few stops in the Balkans/Adriatics on the way?
I have about 6-7 days to make the trip, so would like to get off the train en-route!
Is bus better than train? Which countries could I stop in without making it a complicated journey?
Any info gratefully received!

hi...
if you have enough time and don't want to take the direct way to Athenes go from Venzia St. Lucia in direction of Ljubljana, Budapest, Beograd, Sofia, Thessaloniki, Athenes...
train is okay for the long distances and overnight travels... it is more fun as you have more communication with other travelers... it's my experience. :)
