Hello,

First of all I'm new to the interrail system and I apologise if my questions have already been asked. I know it must be frustrating always answering the same questions !

I was thinking of visiting Belgium for a week this summer, and as I enjoy traveling by train I thought it might be fun to use the interrail pass.

I would be leaving from Switzerland, and I would like to visit Brussels, Antwerp and maybe Liège. Do you think this would be possible in 7-8 days ?

Also what pass should I buy ? And when I'm traveling from Switzerland to Belgium, do I have to pay for those trains (I would be leaving from Geneva and going through France most likely) ? I'm not too sure how it works... :|

Thank you for your help! :P

Hi Sara ...
no problem to ask ... that's the idea of this forum ... :)

mmmh. hard to say: if you get a cheap single ticket from Geneva to Belgium, buy this one and then a ONE month InterRail pass BENELUX.
if this is not possible, I recommend you a 5 travel days within 10 days GLOBAL InterRail pass.

you can travel this route completely without supplements.
there is for example a direct free EC train from Basel via Strasbourg, Luxembourg to Brussels.
for exact train schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
for the supplements - if needed - https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
but there is always a way around not to use supplements. :)
