Locker in hostels: backpack in dorm

Hi there

Bit of an odd question, i plan on staying in youth hostels this summer, i will be backpacking and therefore just wondering where can i leave my big backpack if im sharing a dorm with other travellers that i do not know?

most hostels have one big locker per bed. you get a key and can put all important inside it.
for your backpack: the best is to have a small bicycle locker with you and then fix it on your bed or seat in a train if you sleep.
